			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The working groups are formed and a meeting of group leaders and the ICT executive decided that local Jamaican Standards for ICT is necessary and will be written to tackle a range of emerging ICT issues in Jamaica. The teams are excited about this as Jamaica stands to benefit by better Governance and lower costs to consumers as we stand on the door-steps of becominng a developed country in year 2030.</strong></p>
<p>Standards slated for development include standards in the areas of Web Site Development and Corporate IT Governance.</p>
